people matters survey -what next?

You have your People Matters Employee Survey (PMES) results and know you need to prepare an action plan – but what do you need to do next?

Firstly, the thing to keep in the front of your mind is that the PMES survey is the beginning of the conversation, it is not the end.

You have:

  • Data – the PMES has given you data that is directly from your employees experiences and voices.
  • Focus areas/Impact – you have identified areas from the report which are higher priority or impact – these have been identified from your employees experiences and voices.

You now need to:

  • listen to your employees again now before you create your action plan
  • use the identified focus and impact areas in your discussions
  • demonstrate the value of the feedback you have just received.

Let’s explore your next steps to go from data to empowered action that has real impact for your employees and organisation.

  1. We meet with you to analyse your data and draw on the insights. Identifying strengths and areas for opportunity, we look at the focus and impact areas to identify where your focus should be for action planning for maximum impact.
  2. We work with you to identify existing strategies and actions underway and understand their connection to the focus and impact areas from the PMES. It is very likely that you already have a lot implemented, underway or planned so we work with you to capture those and how they can seamlessly be collected into the PMES action plan.
  3. We engage your employees through focus groups to deep dive into the data, clarify focus and impact areas and draw out tangible actions and initiatives. Focus groups provide interactive opportunities to examine, discuss and collaboratively create together. Identifying tangible actions and initiatives, coupled with appropriate monitoring measurements (quantitative and qualitative) are a key part of those conversations. The topics we look at together include:
    • Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
    • Safe & Respectful Working Environments, Policies and Ways of Working
    • Change Management approaches and practices
    • Career Development and opportunities
    • Leadership and Managerial responsibility.
  4. We bring the insights from the focus groups and the data together into a draft action plan for you to progress for internal approvals and subsequent submitting back into the Qualtrics system.
